Collages for Staatstheater Kassel (2023 Season)


For the 2022/23 season of Kassel’s state theatre I created 47 collages for each member of the ensemble. The catalog with each collage can be found here. Each collage imagines each person in a new way, putting them in a different environment each time. The material for the collages are from the theatre’s archive as well as my own materials.

Next to the collages for the book I created two large-scale collages (each being 4.5x9.5m) for the foyer. These were based on the individual, small collages I had created before and intended to create interaction between the members of the ensemble while also telling a story each viewer could interpret on their own.
